Dr. Levy pledges to Leave the Phone Alone

Dr. Levy, Ottawa’s Medical Officer of Health took the LeaveThePhoneAlone.ca pledge, joining over a thousand other pledgers so far. The pledge affirms that Dr. Levy will avoid distractions caused by talking, texting, or using a hand-held electronic device while operating a vehicle. According to LeaveThePhoneAlone.ca, “drivers who use hand held devices are four times as likely to get into crashes serious enough to injure themselves”, and even hands-free driving is not the safest option.
